The Daratony's
Once upon a time, in the small town of Plymouth, Michigan, a high school football running back fell in love with the head cheerleader. Those high school sweethearts—Jim and Darlyn Daratony—began a life together rooted in faith, family, and friendship.
Darlyn’s love of horses grew from childhood days spent on her grandparents’ farm in Hillsdale, Michigan. At the heart of that passion was family. As their own family grew, so did their desire to share the equestrian experience with their children and create a place where family values, hard work, and meaningful relationships could flourish.
The People Behind the place
That dream led them to search for a small piece of land where they could grow and ride together. Instead, they discovered something greater: a 130-acre parcel in Dexter, Michigan. There, they established Cobblestone Farms and began hosting competitions in 2003. Weekends spent together at horse shows fostered perseverance, strengthened relationships, and created lifelong memories—for their family and for many others along the way.
In time, a bigger vision began to unfold. When a nearby retired golf course became available, it offered wide-open space and a blank canvas for something more. The vision for Revel Run took shape. Rolling land once meant for fairways became galloping ground, old barns stood alongside new structures, and a space emerged that was meant to be shared, celebrated, and lived in fully.
Call it fate or call it faith—everything aligned at just the right moment. Revel Run became a reality, grounded in family, community, and God’s good grace.
We simply call it God’s Country.
